Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How can I join a Lions Club and help serve my community?
A. Membership in all Lions Clubs is by invitation only. If you are interested please contact the nearest Club's Membership Chair, President or Secretary and arrange a visitation to the Club's next general meeting.

Q. What do Lions Clubs do with the money they raise?
A. We are very proud of the fact that our International Constitution REQUIRES ALL monies earned from the public be returned to the public (less expenses of the project). Absolutely NO public money is allowed to be used for general or special administrative needs of the Club.

Q. If I joined a Club what would be expected of me?
 A. All members are expected to attend meetings, participate in Club functions and assist in serving the needs of the public. In addition, each member is given the opportunity to attend training seminars, joint club meetings, district meetings, multiple district meetings and International meetings. Each member can be as 'busy' as they would like to be.

Q. I don't have time to join, but would like to help. What can I do?
A. There are several ways you can help:

1. You could become an Associate Member, in this category you are not expected to be at all meetings and functions. You are still considered a member and participate when you can.
2. You could make a donation (monetary or goods) to any of the
Multiple Districts Major Projects . Donations to the projects may be tax deductible.
3. Make a donation (monetary or goods) to your local Club in the name of one of their special projects. Donations to individual Clubs may NOT be tax deductible.
4. Offer your services for any of the Clubs projects.
